Doncaster Community Arts looking out for young singer/songwriters aged 11-18

Are you a talented singer-songwriter? Fancy recording in a professional studio? We need you!

darts (Doncaster Community Arts) are starting an exciting new project with young people aged 11-18, writing and performing new and familiar music. We’re looking for diverse musical tastes from Classical to Country, Rock to Reggae, Disco to Dub step, you name it! We’ll meet every Thursday at the Point 5-6.30 from September 2014.

Free Archaeology day at The National Science Learning Centre, York

The National Science Learning Centre, based at University of York, is holding a free day of  archaeological related activities suitable for all ages on Sunday 30 March 2014, 10.30 – 3.00pm.

The sessions include two keynote lectures:
•       De-extinction: Bringing Back the Woolly Mammoth
•       Richard III

There will also be hands-on workshop sessions led by the University of York Archaeology Department, JORVIK Group Education Team, the Star Carr Project and the National Science Learning Centre.
