One of the Dads made a air rocket from some wood, piping and a plastic bottle. The children watched very carefully as he re-assembled it at the playing fields. It shot high up into the air (no photo of that – it moved rather fast) and then sailed back down to earth with its carrier-bag parachute. There was a race to catch it!
The rocket launcher didn’t hold up too well to subsequent launches and needs a little more work – but hoping we can do it again soon.
Added to a little bit of tennis; some board games; some cherry picking and a good run around the children really enjoyed themselves.
